Two days means PSI's stated calendar rule

The booklet's example says a Monday appointment must be canceled by the previous Saturday. Do not wait for a personal 48-hour calculation, a closing-time guess, or the final minute of the online cutoff.

How do you reschedule online?

Sign in to the PSI Illinois Real Estate Examination Program.
Open the booked examination in your account.
Choose the available cancellation or rescheduling control.
Select the correct examination, delivery method, date, and time.
Review the time zone and test-center address or remote details.
Complete the change instead of leaving it in a draft state.
Save the updated confirmation and verify it in My Tests.

If the website does not show a completed change, do not assume the click counted. Contact PSI while the deadline is still open.

How do you reschedule by phone?

Why does voicemail not protect the fee?

PSI expressly says a voicemail message is not an acceptable form of cancellation. A message does not prove that an authorized representative completed the change before the cutoff.

If the line does not connect, use the PSI website. If the website fails, keep the error details and continue trying official support before the deadline. Do not stop at an unanswered call.

Does timely cancellation produce a refund?

No refund is promised. PSI says examination fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable. A timely cancellation and reschedule preserves the paid fee for a changed appointment under the program rule.

Which events forfeit the fee?

The current booklet identifies four direct appointment failures:

Not canceling two days before the scheduled examination date.
Not appearing for the appointment.
Arriving after the examination start time.
Not presenting proper identification.

A remote candidate also risks the fee or eligibility by failing to start within the launch timing stated by PSI. The booklet says the launch is available within 30 minutes of the booked time and warns that not starting within 15 minutes after the booked time can forfeit the fee or eligibility. What if the remote system fails before exam day?

Do not wait. Run the public diagnostics and the booked-exam tutorial on the exact computer, network, camera, microphone, and room. If the setup remains unreliable, reschedule or change to a test center before the cutoff.

The booklet lists PSI technical support at (844) 267-1017 for compatibility or launch issues. A technical problem does not automatically erase the cancellation deadline or guarantee a free replacement.
