Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Pass Illinois website, mobile app, study tools, and educational content.

Last updated: July 24, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

By visiting the website, downloading the app, using the free tools, or unlocking the full app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Pass Illinois.

2. The service

Pass Illinois is an independent study tool for people preparing for the Illinois real estate broker exam. It may include practice questions, explanations, calculations, readiness tools, progress tracking, downloadable materials, and related resources.

Pass Illinois is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) or PSI. It is not the required 75-hour pre-license course and does not replace official licensing instructions.

3. Eligibility and personal use

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. Pass Illinois is for your personal, non-commercial exam preparation. You may not share, transfer, or resell access.

4. Free access and optional full unlock

  • Pass Illinois includes a limited free tier that can be used without paying.
  • One optional in-app payment unlocks the full app. It is not a subscription.
  • The optional unlock is processed by Apple or Google under the price, taxes, currency, and terms shown in the app store.
  • Store prices may vary by platform, country, tax, or promotion.
  • The full-app unlock grants a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for personal study.

5. Intellectual property and acceptable use

The app, website, practice questions, explanations, study materials, branding, graphics, and software are owned by Pass Illinois or its licensors. Applicable intellectual property laws protect this material.

You agree not to:

  • Copy, publish, sell, scrape, or redistribute our content.
  • Share or sell account or full-app access.
  • Reverse engineer, bypass access controls, or interfere with the operation or security of the service.
  • Use automated tools to extract content or create a competing question bank or service.
  • Use the service for unlawful or abusive activity.

6. Educational and examination disclaimer

Pass Illinois does not guarantee a passing score, a license, or any employment outcome. Results depend on individual preparation, prior knowledge, exam conditions, and other factors. We do not copy or reproduce live PSI exam questions.

Real estate laws, examination outlines, fees, procedures, and licensing requirements can change. We work to keep material current, but official IDFPR and PSI materials always control. Pass Illinois provides educational information, not legal, financial, tax, or professional advice.

7. Availability, updates, and changes

We may add, change, pause, or remove features or content. App compatibility depends on your device, operating system, store availability, and the versions we support.

If we refer to lifetime updates, we mean updates made available to users with a full-app unlock while Pass Illinois is distributed and supported. This does not mean that every feature, platform, or service will operate indefinitely.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or examination success.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pass Illinois will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits or opportunities, lost data, exam failure, licensing delay, or interruption arising from use of or inability to use the service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

9. Suspension and termination

We may limit or end access when reasonably necessary because of a violation of these terms, fraud, abuse, a security risk, a legal requirement, or harm to the service or others. Sections that must continue to apply after access ends will remain in effect.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

11. Changes and contact

We may revise these terms. The date above identifies the current version. Continued use after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
