Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Pass Illinois collects through the website and app, why we use it, and what choices you have.
Last updated: July 24, 2026
1. About this policy
Pass Illinois (“Pass Illinois,” “we,” “our,” or “the app”) provides independent educational preparation for the Illinois real estate broker exam. This policy applies to the Pass Illinois website, mobile app, and messages you send to our support team.
2. Information we may process
Information you provide
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message, device details, screenshots, receipts, or diagnostic information.
Messages submitted through the website contact form are delivered through our email provider. The provider processes the sender details and message content needed to deliver and store that email.
Study and app data
Pass Illinois is designed to work offline. Depending on the version and features you use, your answers, scores, confidence ratings, bookmarks, progress, readiness results, and preferences may be stored on your device. If you choose to use an account, backup, or sync feature, we may also receive and store the information needed to make that feature work.
Optional full-app unlock information
Pass Illinois includes free starter tools. If you choose the one-time full-app unlock, the Apple App Store or Google Play processes the payment. We do not receive your full payment card number. We may receive limited information such as your entitlement status, product identifier, transaction identifier, transaction date, or region so we can confirm and troubleshoot access.
Website and diagnostic information
Website hosting and security systems may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, timestamps, and error details. App diagnostic reports may include your device, operating system, app version, performance, and crash details.
3. How information is used
- Provide the app, website, free study tools, and optional full-app access.
- Save progress and preferences on supported devices.
- Respond to support, privacy, and content-accuracy requests.
- Diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information with vendors that provide services such as hosting, authentication, data storage, email delivery, unlock verification, diagnostics, or customer support, but only when it is reasonably necessary for them to do that work.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights or safety of users and others, to investigate misuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of the service.
5. Advertising, cookies, and tracking
The current Pass Illinois website does not display third-party ads. Basic hosting, security, and performance tools may still process technical requests or store strictly necessary information. If we introduce materially different analytics, advertising, or tracking practices, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by law.
6. Retention, deletion, and your choices
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, our legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security. You can generally remove local app data by resetting your progress or uninstalling the app. Apple and Google control how long they keep store transaction records.
To request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you, email passillinoisrealestate@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
7. Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards for the information we process. No storage or transmission system is completely secure. Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.
8. Children’s privacy
Pass Illinois is intended for adults preparing for professional licensing. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
9. Third-party services and links
Apple, Google, IDFPR, PSI, and other third-party sites or services have their own privacy practices. This policy does not cover them. Please review their policies before giving them information.
10. Policy changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The revision date above identifies the current version.
