Why Pass Illinois exists
Illinois uses broker as its entry-level license, requires candidates to pass separate national and Illinois portions, and tests state rules that national-only prep can miss. A large question bank is not enough. You need to know which portion and which topics still need work.
Pass Illinois helps you find those gaps, practice the right material, track both portions, and check your progress before you schedule the exam.
Our approach
Current Illinois coverage
Study content follows the current Illinois and PSI content outline, including licensing, agency, contracts, handling of monies, discipline, disclosures, transfer taxes, national principles, and calculations.
Separate readiness for both portions
A strong national score cannot make up for a failed Illinois portion. The app keeps the results separate, so an overall average cannot hide the portion that needs attention.
Explanations before memorization
A missed question should teach you something. Explanations cover the rule or calculation behind the answer, so you can solve a new version of the problem instead of memorizing wording.
What guides the product
- Accuracy: We review facts against current official materials and show when we last checked them.
- Focus: We make the next useful study step easy to find.
- Transparency: We make it clear that Pass Illinois is independent exam prep, not IDFPR, PSI, or pre-license education.
- Useful practice: We combine active recall, spaced review, confidence checks, and worked explanations.
How our study content is made
Pass Illinois publishes as an organization. The Pass Illinois editorial team maps each lesson to the current PSI outline, checks state-specific claims against Illinois primary sources, and writes original examples and practice questions for learning. We do not claim that an individual regulator, attorney, instructor, IDFPR, or PSI reviews or endorses the site.
Source and accuracy review
- Start with the current PSI Candidate Information Booklet and the published national and Illinois content outlines.
- Check changing Illinois rules against the Illinois General Assembly, IDFPR, or another responsible government agency.
- Write new examples and questions that teach the tested decision without copying or reconstructing live PSI exam items.
- Check titles, answers, internal links, citations, reading flow, and structured data before publication.
- Show the last factual review date and update the page when a controlling source changes.
Writing and automation disclosure
Editorial and software tools may assist with research organization, drafting, consistency checks, or code. We do not label content as “non-AI” because authorship cannot be proven from writing style. What matters here is traceability: factual claims should be supported by the cited primary sources, practice items should be original, and errors should be corrected openly.
Corrections and student evidence
Every shared study guide asks whether the page was useful and accepts an optional note without requesting a name or email. We use that feedback to find unclear explanations and content gaps. We do not claim that every student rates every page highly, and we will not publish a satisfaction claim until the response volume and method can support it.
To report a possible error, use the contact page and include the page address, the disputed sentence, and an official source when possible.
Independent by design
Pass Illinois is not affiliated with or endorsed by IDFPR or PSI. It does not reproduce live exam questions, replace the required 75-hour pre-license program, guarantee a passing score, or provide legal advice.
