A test-center candidate and a remote candidate do not follow the same calculator, scratch-paper, break, or room rules. This two-page printable keeps those paths separate.

The resource first
Direct answer: Every candidate should verify the exact scheduled name, current accepted identification, exam format, date, time, time zone, and confirmation number. Test-center candidates should verify the final venue and arrive 30 minutes early; PSI provides scratch paper and permits a compliant physical calculator under the current bulletin. Remote candidates must pass system checks, use a private cleared room, remain in camera view, and test without scratch paper, a physical calculator, or a break. Starting more than 15 minutes after the remote appointment can forfeit the fee or eligibility. The downloadable checklist reflects the June 24, 2026 PSI bulletin and requires no email.

Complete the shared check first
The first page verifies the appointment and accepted identification. The name must match the scheduled name exactly, and the document must be current, valid, unexpired, photo-bearing, signed, and included in PSI's accepted list. US military identification is listed for test centers but not remote testing.
The same page records the two-day cancellation or rescheduling rule. A voicemail does not count under the current bulletin. A missed appointment, late cancellation, late arrival, or improper identification can invalidate the registration and forfeit the fee.
For a test center, plan beyond the street address
Use the booking confirmation for the venue, floor, suite, entrance, parking or transit, and accessibility route. Your leave time should include traffic, weather, work zones, parking, and building navigation while preserving the 30-minute arrival target.
Companions cannot wait in the examination center, building, or property. A compliant physical calculator is allowed at a test center, and PSI supplies the scratch paper and pencil. Personal paper and writing tools remain prohibited.
For remote testing, test the exact setup
Run PSI's checks on the exact computer, webcam, audio, video, internet, power, and room you will use. Clear the required surfaces and camera view. You cannot change computers or spaces during the exam and must follow the proctor's directions about hands, eyes, face, desk, screen, and room scan.
Remote candidates cannot use scratch paper or a physical calculator and cannot take a break. If any one of those conditions is unrealistic, compare test-center availability before booking rather than hoping the proctor will create an exception.

How early should I arrive at a PSI test center?
The current bulletin says to arrive 30 minutes before the appointment for check-in, identification, and orientation.
How many IDs are required?
The current bulletin requires one accepted, current, valid, unexpired identification with photo and signature and an exact scheduled-name match.
Can I bring scratch paper?
No. PSI supplies and collects scratch paper at a test center. Scratch paper is not allowed for a remote-proctored exam.
Can I use a physical calculator?
The current bulletin permits physical calculators at test centers but not during remote-proctored exams.
Can I take a remote bathroom break?
No. The current bulletin states that breaks are not allowed during remote online proctored examinations.
