Build a Springfield route plan
PSI's June 24, 2026 bulletin lists 2050 W. Iles Avenue, Suite D, in Springfield. The bulletin does not name a venue, so the appointment confirmation is especially important. Save Suite D and inspect the current property pin, business signage, and entrance notes before leaving.
Candidates arriving on I-55, I-72, or regional highways should preserve a separate local buffer for Iles Avenue. State-government schedules, weather, road work, and ordinary commuter traffic can change the final segment. A route rehearsal is useful when a generic suite address offers few visual clues.
- Use 2050 W. Iles Avenue and Suite D as one destination record.
- Read the PSI confirmation for the current venue name and check-in instructions.
- Check I-55, I-72, and the final city route when they affect your trip.
- Identify the property and public entrance before exam morning if possible.
Candidates may also compare dates from nearby areas such as Chatham, Lincoln, Jacksonville, Decatur, Taylorville. The closest city is not always the earliest or calmest appointment.
Use three arrival times
Leave time
Route estimate plus weather, work-zone, traffic, parking, and building buffer.
Property time
Time to park or exit a ride, locate the entrance, and reach the correct room or suite.
PSI arrival time
Be at the examination site 30 minutes before the booked start.
Late arrival can invalidate the appointment and forfeit the fee. A driver, friend, child, instructor, or other companion may not wait in the test center, building, or property under the current bulletin.
What to bring and what to leave
Bring one current, valid, unexpired government identification accepted by PSI. It must show a photo and signature, and the name must exactly match the scheduled name. The bulletin allows a physical calculator at a test center, and PSI provides scratch paper and a pencil that must be returned.
Leave reference material, phones, smart watches, earbuds, bags, personal paper, writing tools, food, drinks, and other prohibited items at home or follow the proctor's storage instruction. PSI is not responsible for belongings.
If Springfield is not the best appointment
Return to the live search and compare another Illinois city, an available PSI center elsewhere in the United States, or remote proctoring. For remote delivery, confirm that the exact computer passes audio, video, webcam, and system checks. Remote candidates cannot use scratch paper or a physical calculator and cannot take a break.
