Build a Joliet route plan
PSI's June 24, 2026 bulletin lists TRMA Safety Center at 1615 W. Jefferson Street in Joliet. Verify the property pin and the entrance named in the appointment confirmation. A commercial corridor can have multiple driveways or nearby businesses with similar-looking entrances.
I-55 and I-80 conditions can change the trip before local Jefferson Street traffic begins. Build the plan in two parts: reach Joliet with a regional buffer, then reach the correct property with enough time to park and check in 30 minutes early. Do not spend that buffer on a final review in the car.
- Check both the expressway segment and the final Jefferson Street approach.
- Compare an alternate route that avoids the most fragile interchange or work zone.

Late arrival can invalidate the appointment and forfeit the fee. A driver, friend, child, instructor, or other companion may not wait in the test center, building, or property under the current bulletin.
What to bring and what to leave
Bring one current, valid, unexpired government identification accepted by PSI. It must show a photo and signature, and the name must exactly match the scheduled name. The bulletin allows a physical calculator at a test center, and PSI provides scratch paper and a pencil that must be returned.
Leave reference material, phones, smart watches, earbuds, bags, personal paper, writing tools, food, drinks, and other prohibited items at home or follow the proctor's storage instruction. PSI is not responsible for belongings.
If Joliet is not the best appointment

For remote delivery, confirm that the exact computer passes audio, video, webcam, and system checks. Remote candidates cannot use scratch paper or a physical calculator and cannot take a break.
