Build a Carbondale route plan
PSI's June 24, 2026 bulletin lists Southern Illinois University at 605 Agriculture Drive, MC 4722, Room 781 on the seventh floor. Save every part of that location. A campus arrival requires enough time to reach the correct building, find the elevator or accessible route, and locate Room 781 after parking or drop-off.
Check SIU's current visitor parking and campus access information along with the PSI confirmation. Do not assume a nearby lot is available to a visitor or that a map pin identifies the testing room. If traveling on Illinois 13 or US 51, add a weather and regional-drive buffer before the campus buffer.
- Identify the building associated with 605 Agriculture Drive and MC 4722.
- Confirm current visitor parking or drop-off rules through official campus information.
- Plan an accessible route to the seventh floor if stairs are not suitable.
- Carry Room 781 in the appointment note and ask campus staff early if lost.
Candidates may also compare dates from nearby areas such as Murphysboro, Marion, Harrisburg, Anna, Mount Vernon. The closest city is not always the earliest or calmest appointment.
Use three arrival times
Leave time
Route estimate plus weather, work-zone, traffic, parking, and building buffer.
Property time
Time to park or exit a ride, locate the entrance, and reach the correct room or suite.
PSI arrival time
Be at the examination site 30 minutes before the booked start.
Late arrival can invalidate the appointment and forfeit the fee. A driver, friend, child, instructor, or other companion may not wait in the test center, building, or property under the current bulletin.
What to bring and what to leave
Bring one current, valid, unexpired government identification accepted by PSI. It must show a photo and signature, and the name must exactly match the scheduled name. The bulletin allows a physical calculator at a test center, and PSI provides scratch paper and a pencil that must be returned.
Leave reference material, phones, smart watches, earbuds, bags, personal paper, writing tools, food, drinks, and other prohibited items at home or follow the proctor's storage instruction. PSI is not responsible for belongings.
If Carbondale is not the best appointment
Return to the live search and compare another Illinois city, an available PSI center elsewhere in the United States, or remote proctoring. For remote delivery, confirm that the exact computer passes audio, video, webcam, and system checks. Remote candidates cannot use scratch paper or a physical calculator and cannot take a break.
